Her mission is to teach fertility awareness and body literacy to people like you so you can be empowered in your relationship with your body, fertility, menstruation, and sexual health. Amy’s own health journey began after side effects from hormonal birth control nearly destroyed her breastfeeding relationship with her newborn daughter in 2005. Seeking a natural yet effective contraceptive alternative, she turned to the Justisse Method of Fertility Management. Through learning to chart her cycles using the Justisse Method, Amy finally uncovered answers to longstanding health problems and was able to reverse debilitating menstrual symptoms and achieve energy and vitality she hadn’t experienced since her childhood. Since then she has committed herself to helping others achieve optimal health. Amy regularly engages in professional development activities. She has completed additional training in nutritional supplementation, the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy, and Harner Shamanic Counseling. In her spare time, Amy enjoys mindfulness photography (Miksang), wild foraging, knitting, reading, and wire-walking. She currently resides in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, but provides support to clients all over the world via Skype, Zoom and phone.
Chloe discovered fertility awareness after her partner told her that he was not going to let her put that “penis-strangling-apparatus” up her vagina. He was referring to the Nuva Ring. They were exploring different birth control options after Chloe stopped taking the pill. She had been on the pill for less than a year before realizing it was absolutely not working for her. She had changed into a completely different person. Nothing inspired her anymore. She had unpredictable outbursts of rage or tears or both, and her face was spotted with unresolvable acne and her hair was falling out in clumps to which she was told, “You’re just getting old”. She was 23! In pursuit for a contraceptive that worked for her, Chloe realized looking for birth control was really just asking: “How do you like your hormones?” It was the synthetic hormones that were causing the side effects. She didn’t want synthetic hormones at all. Not in her mouth, not in her vagina, not in her uterus, not in her arm. That’s when she discovered fertility awareness.
With the help of her practitioner, Chloe learned about her reproductive body (something she felt she should have known a long time ago!) and learned how to listen to and interpret her biological signs of fertility. By identifying her fertile and infertile times of each cycle, she was able to avoid pregnancy free of synthetic hormones! The best part was, Chloe didn’t only discover a natural birth control that’s just as effective as the pill. With the guidance of her charts and the help of her health practitioners, she identified and remedied debilitating premenstrual symptoms, vitamin deficiencies, and sub-optimal thyroid health. Now Chloe has a continual monthly report of her reproductive and overall health.
She enriched the connection with her body, gained an appreciation for her fertility, and mastered a way to prevent pregnancy free of synthetic hormones while monitoring her reproductive and overall health.

After struggling with excessively heavy and painful periods for years Lisa discovered the connection between health and fertility first hand. Her personal experience of overcoming a Hashimoto’s diagnosis and uterine fibroids has influenced her practice immensely. Lisa created her weekly radio show, the Fertility Friday Podcast, to connect women with a deeper understanding of how fertility and overall health are connected and intertwined with their menstrual cycle health. The number one response from her listeners is always “why didn’t anyone teach us this stuff when we were growing up?” Her mission is to share the message of body literacy with as many women as possible. Each week she conducts in depth interviews with professionals who specialize in helping women to restore their fertility naturally.
