IF ALL WOMEN LIVED RHYTHMICALLY WITH THEIR MENSTRUAL CYCLES.
During ancient times, periods were celebrated and cherished as a monthly ritual, and today they are recognized as a menace and unclean.
Years ago, it was common for women to separate from their communities and remove themselves from anything associated with everyday life. This separation during bleeding was utilized as a natural break to teach and learn from one another, as well as use the women’s collective energies for the community’s well being and growth.
We are currently taught to hide our grief during life’s stressful moments which sometimes leans us towards masking these feelings with substances like sugar, caffeine, alcohol, or food rather than turning inward to find the cause of our struggles. These stresses suppress into our womb area, causing discomfort and imbalance. This has driven us into unhealthy and stress-filled lifestyles, leaving us unable to express ourselves. Unfortunately, women are frequently prescribed the Hormonal Birth Control Pill which is blocking our natural state of mind and depleting the body of the necessary nutrients it requires to experience the organic ‘ebb and flow’ of our cycles. We should find ways to nourish our bodies and set aside time to love, nurture and care for our tender selves during times of discomfort.
I am a student of the Grace of the Moon teacher training, and am passionate about collectively transferring the status quo of the menstrual cycle back to a special source of outward creativity and wisdom. My focus is aimed towards taking the first steps into teaching body literacy through fertility awareness.
Women have a beautiful flowing of energies each month which should be observed, accepted and loved in order for us to express ourselves in unique ways.
I am so grateful you are here.
